Yeah, it's just most likely a show for the media and to stir-up some trouble lol. I went to the Walk of Fame recently and I just stepped off the sidewalk and looked like and I was like "oh, we're there" lol. It's definitely not going to do any good to them or any bad against Trump. But still, they definitely shouldn't have done something like this.

Defacing is a form of vandalism though. There will probably be legal repercussions. The Walk of Fame is important because it's 1) city property and 2) the person who receives a star has to pay a fee at time of selection so the star can be created, placed, and maintained.
