Maybe your rj45 wall socket (where your internet cable enters your house) it's old or damaged. (I live in a flat complex and that happened to me)

I've got the cable internet that comes on the same cable as the TV. Would that apply to it as well?

My dad is old friends with the owner of our ISP so when the guys was laying down Fiber Optics for the local high school he asked my dad if my dad wanted to pay to have the fiber laid to the farm and I think dad pays about 150.00 a month for the service bundled with a phone package and some other bells n whistles.

Unfortunately Fiber is extremely expensive here, and only available to businesses. Regular/home users are given HFC connections (We still have ADSL ffs (ಠ_ಠ))

Yeah, so, figures the problem's not the wi-fi itself, it's my computer's antennae, it's not receiving information properly.
