Thread: Battledome - Do you guys like random icons (i.e. 11 air + 1-8 fire icons). Should it be more steady?

    Battledome - Do you guys like random icons (i.e. 11 air + 1-8 fire icons). Should it be more steady?

    Do you guys prefer items where they have BASE icons & additional random icons? i.e. base of 10 icons and then 1-5 more icons... Or would you prefer BD weapons were strictly constant i.e. every item only does x amount of icons each turn.

    Additional icons are fun but also can help you win battles out of sheer luck of hitting extra icons.

    What are some people's thoughts on here?

    Additional icons are fun but also can help you win battles out of sheer luck of hitting extra icons.
    Sometimes it's fun to watch a (for example) GBomb deal its full 30 icons and the massive damage it can deal if your pet is maxed out in strength

    If you were to be playing vs another player (PVP not 1P battledome), would you prefer items were randomized with icons or more consistent?

    Or perhaps a third option would be to have them do lower amounts of randomized icons (such as 1-3 additional instead of 1-8).. But then again if the additional icons were so low, is there really a point?

    I rarely play PVP, would depend on whether it's for fun or a tournament.
    I think it'd be obvious which one I'd pick to play "just for fun" (randomized) and which one I'd pick for something like a tournament (consistent).
    If it's "groups of icons" (or whatever it's called) like the extra icons in the GSword/SoWL I guess it'd make sense?

    For 1P battles definately steady icons. I want to be able to one shot opponents consistently to minimize time spend on getting the wins.

    In 2P battles I guess I still like steady icons more. You want to be consistent in order to get a good strategy going. Any time you depend on luck to win is a bad call imo. If it is in a long fight, the icons will average out, so that should be ok.

    Also, when you are in a killing range, it would suck quite hard to get 1 icon too little to defeat the opponent and maybe you end up getting defeated in the next turn because you didnt defend or heal.

    range of icons, the more agility the more chances of high icons, the more damage the more each icon does
