Hey guys!
I havent been active for a good 2 years. Whats been happening with neopets.
I heard neopets got bought out and servers were down and shit hit the fan.
Could some one fill me in on what I missed in the past 2 years?
Oh neopet event updates would be a plus too!

Still doing fine just less player base each year so less economy activity obviously but can still make NP easy, play games and do what ever you want!
I see negativity but that don't stop my fun
Addiction is real lol

Jumpstart bought the site Neopets a couple years back, slowly getting back to fixing things when the servers changed hands. The site seems to be dieing slowly though and without new content/plots I don't see this site lasting more than a couple more years...
No plot updates, hardly any new small updates at all like avatars.
Ticket system is as inefficient and staff is as incompetent as ever, perhaps worse now. Player base dwindling fast. People who buy NC aren't getting credited and it takes weeks/months to resolve, premium users are getting overcharged/have difficulty canceling.
Captchas are now on all petlookups and userlookups to discourage theft, but the biggest effect of this is just annoying people by making it difficult to view pets and profiles.

Jumpfart bought the old dumpster fire about two years ago. They handle crap like this:

Just as fun as it was two years ago, minus the duping.

Neopets population has decreased over the years and people are more likely to leave in future :/
Neopets has a lot going for it still, in my opinion. JS is a lot better than Viacom as far as giving accounts back depending on who you get. They gave me an account back that was caught SSing over 5 years ago. I think they're doing the best they can for what Viacom left them and I believe many toxic players looming around are the cause for a lot of players quitting, not just JS.
ReCAPTCHAS are a pain, and the slow servers definitely suck, but when I came back after a long absence I was surprised how well intact neopets was compared to what I thought it would be.
be.
Maybe the reason I haven't noticed a huge difference because I didn't participiate too much in site events
