Everyone is saying it's working and there's even video proof. You have a high chance of getting the evolution you want if you name your Eevee correctly.

I read about this and gave it a try using Rainer (my town is full of rock/ground/fire types). Sure enough, I got Vaporeon. Seems to be confirmed.

Supposedly, it only works the first time. Anytime after that, it goes back to being random.

Can confirm this only works the first time you try it. The first time you rename an Eevee with the respective name for your desired evolution, it'll work. After that, it is the same random chance @(you need an account to see links)
