Anyone else feeling like the site was running slower during the birthday event, and then the day after?
there are a lot of users who only log on during events like the birthday one - it gets hammered with traffic that it's not used to on those days and events do run one-and-a-half days, so it's during that whole two day span. that many more people flooding all the same pages at once = severe lag
I apologize if this has been rant has been done to death, but the haggle page's captcha image is painfully slow to load. It has cost me a ridiculous amount of high-value restocks.

In order to answer that, we'd have to know whether or not a given auto-buyer factors load time into its delays. For example, if you have configured your auto-buyer to wait between 3-5 seconds before attempting to buy an item, did that auto-buyer's developer interpret that to mean that we wait:
- 3-5 seconds between refreshing the shop's inventory
- 3-5 seconds before "clicking" the item you want to buy
- 3-5 seconds before attempting to solve the haggle captcha
If the site's current load times inadvertently add to the artificial delay, then you're almost assuredly not at an increased risk. However, if the auto-buyer's developer subtracts the load times from the delay, then it's ultimately up to how Neopets monitors your page requesting activity. If they watch for how quickly you start your page request, then you're fine. If they watch how quickly they end your page request, then you'd be in trouble.
So is anyone else having problems opening fortune cookies? Every time I try and open my training one it says "Sorry, there was an error opening your Fortune Cookie!"
I didn't have any problems last week with them.
