I beleive that the event "officially" ends at midnight NST on June 30th. Given how far past the deadline the Neopets team took to officially end this year's Charity Corner event, they may forget to end the Altador Cup on time as well.

also, i REALLY hope we can get away with a glitchless DD, i'm so tired of not being able to rely on anything neopets produces

I don’t think so. It happened the same to me twice during the same day and didn't have a problem at all. I do not know why the site randomly logs you out.
