Anyone notice how in the first avatar teaser image @neopetsofficialaccount posted about the new avatar (the one with the Neoboard post and avatar selection)

That the timestamp on the Neoboard post, 24th May 2017..

Did TNT actually go back an edit a News post from 2017 in as a bizarre but potentially clever marketing/plot plot?

Ohh, maybe this was a recent change? Because it was asked during the last AMA if we Neopians have missed anything regarding the plot clues (that isn't a spoiler), and TNT at the time said no and that we found everything that was currently done for the plot.

I wonder how long that's been thee considering how long that screenshot has been a meme. I checked the news for a couple other viral neoboard posts ("I can treat you right" and "...including myself"), and nothing, so I'm leaning toward new. The `0` in the word Korbat definitely seems to hint to something to look into.

Unfortunately Neopets has been excluded from the Wayback Machine. I went and tried to see if there was an archived news page to see for sure if the time traveller text was really new or not.

This is interesting! Would there be any place to check what was originally posted - any verbatim quotes or screen captures? JN doesn't seem to have anything about it?

The potion doesn't have the "/plots/tvw/images/" and it was released Dec 6 2020.

This is fascinating. I wouldn't even THINK to look at the date of the meme post and then check the NF for that date. Now I wanna go dig around and see what else can be found.

I've been coincidentally inactive every time there's a huge plot so watching this unfold, and users coming up with wild theories every day is like waiting for the next episode of DragonBall Z. 😂

Wow that's some amazing sleuthing on the boards, reminds me of going through the very first few plot solutions on JN and being amazed at the obscurity that people must have gone through to solve those plots.

Love seeing news like this and finding that everyone and their mother have inflated Yellow Korbat Morphing Potions to the point of being unbuyable.

Desperately hope they don't have anything to do with the actual end product and are just a hint towards the next clue.
