Years ago I found a shiny metapod in viridian forest (I think it was fire red). Evolving it was so tedious (had to do that exp share thing where you swap it out on the first turn so it gets exp) but I was like NO I HAVE TO I NEED A SHINY BUTTERFREE lol
Been playing since the first gen, never found one =/ I do have quite a few that were created with RNG breeding for competitive purposes thought. And I've RNGed some shiny pokemon in BW myself (virizion, terrakion, kyurem and coballion). They've got kickass IVs too and great natures.
Aside from Red Gyrados, whom I never caught... no. I have never come across a shiny pokemon D:

I caught a Shiny Ponyta back in the day....it had blue fire and everything it was sick.......it was in leaf green on the way to catch one of the legendary birds

I have played every Pokemon game for the Gameboy Advanced and DS, and not ONCE have I ever encountered a shiny Pokemon. Then again, I'm lazy as fuck and never bother to fill out the Pokedex (aka max repels = my best friends)...
What's a shiny pokemon? Jk. Never in my life have I encountered one in the wild. I just usually get them through cheating.
