When I set up a proxy, a 'checking to ensure login' message stays on the login screen forever ... any tips or am I doing something wrong?

It's most likely a proxy incompatible with the bot itself. Check the guide linked in the first post about using Proxifier to route your connection through the proxy and just use the AB without a proxy.

I've been meaning to check the proxy code and get this sorted. Thanks for the heads up!

I'm trying to restock in 3 shops: I have 3 separate text docs that have <shopid>98</shopid> at the top (with appropriate ID) and then the list of items.

I've loaded all three lists - is this correct?

If you could show an example I would be very appreciative!

This sounds correct! Check the first post of this thread, last section where I quote and talk about configuring the shop switching method. I believe it will run through each shop and stop afterwards, so if you want it to go back to shop 1/2/3, you need to add them in again so there are multiple entries in the shop list section.

So... I'm a bit stumped. Installed the runtime files, registered the ocx files using the batch file in the runtime error topic, and now I'm getting the "Program is offline" message. Rebooted my computer, but that did nothing. Disabled my firewall and antivirus to no avail. I tried compatibility mode too, but no luck despite every combination of settings.
Similarly, NQ II isn't returning any error upon logging in, and the pound sniper gives an unknown error.
Is there anything I'm doing wrong or that it could be?

Yea, was afraid of that... It isn't working.
It's set to run as admin, and I've installed both the Ascentive thing and the batch file.
Guess I'll troubleshoot more tomorrow... Too late over here to keep trying.

Also, if you have an antivirus installed, make sure the bot folder is added to the exception list... however you can do that.
