Most probably with the release of thousand of unregs atm, some unreg accounts have been sent a password recovery to check if theyre unregs. Not sure though ,just speculating.

I need advice regarding something similar as well.
I bought an account at the beginning of the year and put it associated with my business email.
However, I've received two emails saying that someone requested neopets usernames associated with that email as well as a password reset for one of the accounts on that email, considering its the only neo account on there, should i be concerned that the original owner is trying to access the account again, or would it be someone who is trawling emails?

It's probably just someone checking for unregs. They probably stumbled across your email somehow.

Unregistered email, they flush emails when they havent been logging into for some amount of time.
