Just got back from the emergency room...

My 3 1/2 year old daughter got into my medicine cabinet and took 30 teething tablets DX I called poison control and was literally on the phone with them for like 30 seconds just to have them say she'll be fine an hang up! I called her pedi and they told me to take her in because she was tired and her tummy hurt. So I took her and their like oh she can have 750 OF THEM! Why didn't poison control just tell me that? Then I wouldn't have freaked out DX. Stupid medical people.

Well, PC did say she would be fine
But I agree, they should have added more info in to reassure you :/

If your not a mom you wouldn't understand.... I've had doctors blow me off before and it turned out to be something serious. So when they are on the phone with me for 30 seconds and don't fully listen to my concerns I'm going to get a second opinion.

I agree, I'd be really scared if I had a daughter and she took 30 pills of anything.

It is better to be safe then sorry and the poison control should have been more helpful.

Why didn't poison control just tell me that?
Usually it is because it is easier to tell people to go to the hospital for some things than to explain that some drugs are still okay if a child consumes a lot, because other people may not believe that. I know I would be terrified if I had a child and they had eaten something that I did not know the reaction to...that is what responsible parents do they worry for their kids safety. But I am glad she is okay, that is what matters.
