How long have you had it? Maybe it has something to do with how worn out it is?
Or if any damage came to it like dropping or so.
it seems the mic isn't picking up sounds any more. :/ I tried to video call a friend a while back, and he said he couldn't hear me at all. Recently I tried to video call my grandma as well on my iPad 2; I could hear her, but she couldn't hear me. Has this happened to anyone, and what can I do about it? I already looked it up on google, nothing there worked as of so far.
ill +rep if your solution works.

I've found that apple products tend to just break at random. The only way to really know if it's broken or not is to open up the ipad, but that'll void any warranty you might have.
I'd suggest buying a cheap pair of earbuds with a mic unless you have the skills to open it up and tinker or know someone who does.
Try going to the Apple Store closest to you. If it's a mechanical fault, they might fix it for free.
Possibly. They may or may not charge an assload over it. I would schedule a genius appointment with your local store anyway, no harm in determining what the issue is.
You know you can buy kits to replace screens for almost nothing, right? It voids your warranty, sure, but since you don't have a warranty to void... It's a bunch of screws is all, actually quite easy to replace.
My kindle fire ran into a problem like that when I dropped and cracked it. Amazon was like buy a new one we'll give you a discount! So I ditched that and a store around me that fixes electronics said they'd fix and replace my screen for $80.
Maybe if there's a pawn shop around or a electronics store around, ask them for help?
