dying? Its alrdy dead. When there's better games available on the internet nowadays and massive competition from different companies who would play neopets? The only people who play Neopets are the people who played before and only do now for nostalgic reasons. The majority of new people are just old users recycling accounts. Very few people are actually new.

your talking small scale. this is large scale. out of every person with internet out there. I doubt these were just recycled accts xD
believe what you want. but all because there arent new faces on the boards doesnt mean there are not new people.
let me ask you something, how often do you venture to the newbie boards?
how often do you see a couple months old accts selling nicer items.
these all cant be "recycled" old players.

When it reaches the 1000's of new accounts and an active of 50k online during peak times, i'll consider neopets alive.

200 is a drop in the ocean. How many of those are shells 50%? Alts? Even if they are new accounts, what do you think neopets retention rate of new users is? 10%? So you looking at 100 new shells and maybe 10 new users total that may play for a month or 2 and leave.

Neopets has a long way to go before its back. There are many things wrong with the site that need to be fixed *cough* battledome *cough*, but i would say the success of the mobile app is going to be key to its revival. And when it is revived, people like us will be ready...

a lot of those shell accounts were just created.
who wants a newbie shell account?
whne you can have thousands aged by using unregs?

and have you know it, those shell accounts are some of the top buyers from selling sites.
I know a majority of my sites sales go towards less than 3 month old accts.
