Thanks for putting a $125 hold on my funds because I bought $10 gas with my PayPal debit card. I had to call customer service and now I don't get to take a nap.
I hate how PayPal has a monopoly on online money handling. I hate them so much and they give me so much trouble, but there is no one else like them.

They are so annoying. For some reason, they put an additional charge on every sale I make, so I end up making half of what I would normally be making. Also, the seller protection is terrible. But paypal is what most people use, there's no substitutes.

Apparently there is this unknown rule that they have to put a maximum hold on your funds when you buy gas even if you have the money in your account. I had $50 in my account, bought $10 gas, they put a $125 hold, so now I have $0 and a negative bank account. So that's another $40 fee I'll have to pay the bank. All for $10 gas. I called them and they said when the payment processes, it will only process $10, but it takes like 24 hrs.

I've had my PayPal debit for almost a year and never had a single problem. It's actually saved my ass on many occasions. Apparently it's only an issue if you use it at a gas pump. But she told me next time I want to use it for gas, take it into the gas station and have them run it inside, that will stop them from putting a huge hold on it.

They put holds on my funds all the time because I sell lots of electronics on eBay and electronics are considered "high risk".

But the only thing I use Paypal for is commissions and buying stuff online. /doesn't bother with ebay/
