Wikipedia's down - SOPA and PIPA - Learn

Check this out, it's a pretty big deal. Everyone's making a pretty big deal out of it. As a lazy American, I don't fully understand it, but this really affects those of us in the United States.

I don't like it at all! I needed to Wiki "stretch marks" at 4:00 in the morning and Wikipedia wasn't there for me! I feel betrayed! =P

You don't need wikipedia that...Use google and I'm sure you will find something. WedMD or MayoClinic I'm sure have something about stretch marks.

The internet needs to stay out of bureaucrats hands, even the ranking members on the committee of intellectual property are clueless on what this law does or means. All of us could be thrown in prison for 5 years for minor offenses, ridiculous law

And entire user generated sites could go down for something that ONE person said, even if the user base is 500+ million people. This doesn't stop piracy at all ;~; If they pass this thing we will become severely limited in what we could do on the internet :/

Yup, as far as I can tell, it'll only serve to inhibit rights; the consequences far outweigh the benefits.
