I just watched They/Them. I went into it not knowing anything.

Overall not super great or anything, but I liked to have some non-binary representation in horror.
❤ thank you to hearts for my pumpkin, Lyrichord for my userbar, and Great White North for my snail ryu!
I watched Me Time on Netflix last night. It was alright, I'd say like, 5.5/10. A decent comedy but the story was "meh".

I just went to the actual movie theater for the first time in soooo long.
We saw The Invitation. People in the theater were actually so annoying. One group snuck in crunchy-ass tacos and was using the flashlight in their phone to look at them while eating. Three people left the “flashing lights” phone notifications going on their phone through the whole movie. I was so annoyed.
Really liked the movie. Would have liked it more at home with my comfy clothes and blanket.

Watching Not Okay on Hulu right now and it's okay-ish. Probably won't rewatch. Privileged girl lies about being in a terrorist attack to gain Instagram followers basically. Drama/comedy. They have a content warning before the movie starts saying the protagonist is extremely unlikeable lol.

After all this covid thing I noticed that I actually hate people. People in specific places. I went to the cinema a couple of times and I prefer to watch the movie at home. The experience is not the same but I do not deal with many other things.
I just saw Relatos Salvajes (Wild Tales). It is an Argentine film of 6 short stories about situations of daily life where the protagonists lose their temper and surrender to violence.
I know it's on Prime Video and HBO but I don't know if they have English subtitles.

@(you need an account to see links) yeah. I remember really liking the movies? But this was just super annoying. I think people used to be more respectful or maybe I just didn’t notice it because I was around them all the time. I think after a few years of staying home everybody forgot how to act.
I am sounding so old right now I’ll shut up 😂

I feel like television romanticized going to the movies. It's expensive. It's kinda gross sitting in fabric seats that can't be cleaned properly (probably the germaphobe in me coming out). Sometimes they have this really nasty odor, like either BO or mildew. When you leave the theater, the world just feels off for the rest of the night. It's just. Ugh. Lol.

omg i felt exactly the same. i think age is catching up on me. turning into a male karen. one thing i absolutely CANNOT stand is people eating popcorns and chips near me. the shuffling of the popcorns, the crunch of the chips - it annoys me to no end.
on a side note, i caught Bullet Train recently. cinematics were good, actors and actresses were great. but it feels like it's lacking something, i just cannot pinpoint what is it. maybe the storyline?
