Had to cancel a trip this weekend because of the weather so that was a huge bummer
Dislocated my dominant arm, popped it back into place, it fell back out of place. Has not been fun lol
Going nuts since I can't be productive.
But I finally got a call back from a surgical consult I had back in January, and have a surgery date set for next month. Im excited to be hopefully done with biopsies and ultrasounds. >_<

Thank you (you need an account to see links) for my pup and (you need an account to see links) for the UBs!
I was originally supposed to be leaving for a trip to my hometown with my folks today, but sadly it was cancelled. To make up for it, my dad offered to get me an Amtrak ticket there. I don't leave until next week and I STILL don't exactly know what day it's gonna be. My nerves are absolutely shot. First of all, that's gonna be a total of 27 hours worth of trip which is already a lot to handle alone. But not knowing exactly when I'm supposed to go is even worse! Is he gonna dip out on me this time too? Can I trust my sibling to pick me up at the station at the right time? Am I gonna accidentally bring too much or too little stuff? I hope I don't mess anything up.
I'm always really stressed out by grand plans, and the more moving parts I have to consider the scarier it is. I just want the wait to be over so I can get it done already.
Had doctors try to wrestle my arm back into place, with surprisingly no luck. 😓
Have to wait until Wednesday to see an ortho specialist and get yet another surgical consult. They're suspecting torn labrum. March is turning out to be a whole ass medical event. ;-;
Day is going alright aside from shoulder pain - going to take this time to get things done ive been putting off lol
I was sick so I called out of work and slept till around 2 pm. At this very second in time, I am trying to think about what to do/ watch/ play so I don't go back to sleep again

Ah-hum. Story time.
That was the most hilariously awkward thing to ever happen to me.
So, for context, I really love cucumbers. Like, a lot. I snack on them almost every day. Good filler with a lot if water content and virtually no calories.
Anyway, I usually shave and slice them, but today I was lazy and decided to just shave them and eat them whole. I live with several other roommates. At the time, I thought everyone was in their rooms doing their own thing or that they were out of the house. Finally. I could eat my cucumbers undisturbed.
Wrong.
I was heading upstairs to my room—a snack-to-go, if you will. The first bite into this 8-inch, thick, juicy cucumber and all three of my roommates catch me going up the stairs as they are going down.
So, I'm standing there at the bottom of the stairs. All 4'11" of me, positioning this cucumber into my wide-open mouth with another peeled cucumber in my left hand.
Pause for judgement.
I could have said anything.
"It's not what it looks like,"
"I can explain,”
"Heya,"
But I didn't. I didn’t know what to say.
I just stepped aside awkwardly and let them pass, then headed upstairs to my room to let them wonder why the hell I am the way am I am.
Otherwise, I signed an application for a new apartment today, had an eye appointment, and ordered some new glasses. (:

I've got a nasty cough so I've been tired and lazy
I have an annoying rumbling in my chest when I breathe lol
Hoping it passes before March break because my ex is taking the kids for a week
For once, life is looking up for me. I got a work bonus and a pay raise at my current job today. I'm hoping I can start to save up enough to get my own apartment for me and my cats.
Neighborhood dogs had a scrap today. My neighbor was walking his dog and I was taking out the trash, minding our business....when another dog comes SPEEDING past us and attacked the other dog. Neither of them knew how to break up the scrap so I had to do it. And I don't even have a dog.... the perks of having exp from being homeless for a while I guess.
The neighbor WITHOUT the leashed dog that attacked the other one was just screaming nonsense the whole time. Fucks sake. I hadn't had to tell someone straight in a while. Leash your dog mate! "No one usually walks out here by my apartment" um what? There are a lot of people here this ain't your yard. Icing on the cake was that the dog was named Royalty. lol.
Then I get inside look at a text from my mom that my aunt is dying. She had a fall and had to have 2 surgeries. Then she got covid at the SNF she was staying at to recover. Time to lay down and try to chill for a while. But it is a mood lifter going on here seeing people have good days. So that's something.
