I got majtor dental work done today

Hello everyone I don't really have friends in real life outside of family, so I thought I'd share my news with my friends on ck!

I have had some bad teeth for a while now, and my older sisters helped me pay for the beginning of my treatment, which I'm extremely grateful for. The dentist removed about 6 bad teeth and gave me an upper partial denture while they make a bottom one. Not gonna lie, I am in a lot of pain , but the medication is helping and my mom has been checking on me every hour and helps me change my gauzes out.

It's gonna be a long healing process, but after, I can start on implant work to improve my smile. I've always been so self conscious on my smile my whole life, so I am really happy at this opportunity to change this!

Dental pain is noooooo joke man. Been a few months since I had my dental work and I think the dentist fucked up my jaw because most days it gets numb

Thank you both! It's also a major change on what I can eat and drink too. I think I can only eat soup and mashed potatoes, but my sister also got me so protein shakes so I can have something to drink.

But yes, I'm relying super heavy on my medication haha

I've been going through dental work since last summer and I just had what I think is my final but biggest surgery last week I am right there with you, full solidarity. This shit sucks so hard but when it's over your mouth will feel better than before
I had 11 out total, with 9 other trips being about fillings to try to save em, and i'm so tired of eating soup I could cry.
The pain gets easier every single day though, like the healing just gets better constantly. So you won't be miserable for too long thankfully, just about 2 weeks

Pro tips: Sleep as much as possible, keep the gauze in as long as there's blood, it'll put you out of your misery and help you heal faster both. The gauze keeps you from sucking your clots out in your sleep too.
I hope you feel better soon this isn't a hell I'd wish on anyone ever.
