Living in Louisiana I can agree with this.
However comparing a Redneck from Texas to a Redneck from Louisiana, is two totally different breeds of ignorant whites.
But we pass the redneck jokes up to Arkansas.

Haha I've been to Arkansas, and they pass the buck to Missouri! I wonder which southern state has the most and the original rednecks?

-North is Minnesota, which is where, as Ben said, the Mall of America is. Only fun if you go once a year max. Otherwise its just busy as hell.
-Incredibly flat, especially where I grew up
-My whole county only had one stoplight
-My hometown up until like 2005 only had 1 fast food place, which is Hardee's(or Carl Jr.'s). After 2005 we got a Subway... Woohoo...
-The nearest WalMart from my hometown was 20 miles away.
    -more to come

West Virginia, not by choice, I don't have many positive things to say about the state, I even refused to give birth to my daughter in this state and drove an hour away to deliver and have all my appointments in Virginia.

    OOOOAAARRGGHH!!

    I am from Pennsylvania. (South-Eastern)
We are loosely connected to New Jersey and Delaware, forming what we call - the tristate area.
We got King of Prussia, which I go to a couple times a year.
We match with crazy politicians as well, such as Rick Santorum (yes, he's from PA)
It's an <1 hour from where I live to the Jersey shore so not too bad.
It's also 3 hours to New York City, which isn't too bad either.
Education is not terrible if you can get into the magnet schools here.
In my opinion, it's not too warm, not too cold.
We are liberal in the big cities (Philadelphia and Pittsburg) but tend to stray away to conservatism as you approach the suberbs.)
It's not bad here, I'll probably end up staying here for the rest of my life, especially if gay marriage is passed, if not I can always move to NY or NJ (Civil Unions).

Ben...can you please put "State/Province you reside in" because some of us are from Canada and we have provinces not states lol.

    Alberta
    - All that can really be said is West Edmonton Mall, the world's largest mall. Not sure if it is still the largest but it is god damn huge.
All under one roof: Gigantic Water park with a massive wave pool, Lagoon with a pirate ship, submarines, underwater "sea life" cavern complete with penguins, sea lion show in the lagoon with 2 or 3 sea lions, ice rink, massive IMAX theater complete with a fire breathing dragon in the lobby that spits fire every 10-15 minutes (not joking about this one), a hotel, a theme park with 2 roller coasters, and over 800 stores. Google West Edmonton Mall, it is actually quite impressive.

The dragon: (you need an account to see links)

-Alberta also has the Rocky Mountains which are very pretty.
