Would you go to Mars if you had the chance?

Would you go on the Mars One mission?

One way trip, and all that.

Personally, I'm quite attached to my comforts here on Earth, like the internet.

But I know some people IRL who would drop everything and get in a spaceship.

    So, thoughts? :o

I think it would be pretty cool to be able to go there, explore something new.
But I'm pretty happy with what we have got going on Earth right now. It would be pretty tough to drop everything, and EVERYONE, and just go on a one way trip to Mars. I'd be pretty happy to live vicariously through the people that go there, that would probably be good enough to me.

I was watching a documentary the other day about space exploration and all that. Then I got to thinking how quickly computers and technology have been developing and I don't think it's too far-fetched for us to be living on another planet within our generation. :o
    What's my definition of success?
Creating something no one else can
Being brave enough to dream big
Grindin' when you're told to just quit
Giving more when you got nothin' left

    Isn't Pigfarts on Mars?

    *awkward silence*

I don't know. Maybe I'd consider it. I probably wouldn't make a full decision on the matter unless I knew what life would be like there. If it was a livable situation like it is here on Earth I'd possibly consider it. Also, since technology is so advanced here I don't think that it would be a problem to quickly set up an actual civilization on another planet. But it really all comes down to where my life is and what the living situation would be.

I don't think I have that kind of an adventurous spirit. I was watching the videos of people who wanted to be part of the first 4-person group to live on Mars and was thinking "that is altruism right there"

I'd do it. I'd do anything for the frontier of science, given an opportunity and training. If Neil deGrasse Tyson or Lawrence Krauss needed me for anything at all, I'd drop everything in my life and go help them.

But really, I just want to be the first human to
    on Mars.

    I hold
very close to my heart, and I don't care about the other things that I might be known in history for.

Been, got back not too long ago. Too dry for me, I prefer my cloud throne in Olympus.
