However, whenever the book fair came, my mother made me buy books that I was never going to read that were 'classics' or 'educational' or some such shit. I wanted Goosebumps or Animorphs, y0. I was so happy whenever my dad came home and took me to yardsales or thrift stores and bought me some 'worthwhile' kid literature.
