I think you should take it slow if you're just starting. And also don't just do one sort of exercise. You have to mix it up. I know you want abs but you also need to work on your other muscles

edit: I'll edit this in some time, I have to go really quick now

Firstly, it all depends on how much you weigh and your BMI. if you have fat on your belly, you will never get a six pack from just doing situps. You need to do cardio or something to burn the fat from in front of your abs. Secondly, it takes time to develop a nice six-pack. You have to be willing to work on it every day for a few weeks at least.

Try doing the P90x or Insanity workouts.

yeah, like you know how in neopets, you have to get to level 50 before you can use beserk ?
that's kinda what you need to do. right now maybe you're level 25.

start off with eating healthy if you aren't already. less processed foods, cook yourself more, drink more water, i believe carbs-protein-fat should be 50-30-20 or something around that.
as kristin said, try some cardio first. build up your stamina.
doing something you enjoy helps too. whether it's running with a bud or finding a particular sport, from kickboxing to lifting.

Look at a picture of someone who is ripped and tell yourself you want that.

Or try thinking that if you don't do it you'll get fat, so fat that you die.

Diet is very important. No matter how hard you train without diet it is useless

Running burns the most calories our of cardio exercise, give it a try, and it will allow you to get outside too! That will increase your overall fitness. Also if you sustain your exercise you can get hooked on the natural 'high' of endorphine release following exercise, further influencing you to keep it up. Weight don't give you as much of a natural high, so pair it with cardio training like running, cycling or swimming. The first week is often the biggest hurdle!

Yeah man, Just mainly cardio go for a run or swim. It helps burn off the fat. also try switch up the exercise. So add like mountain climbs or bicycles. Both ab workouts or russian twist for the obliques. So yeah overall try switch it up just to "confuse" the muscles and give it a bit of functional use. Also watch your diet.
Good luck. Once you get into a habit, that should start motivating you. Like once you get into habit, it would feel weird to not exercise and you'd be craving it.
