Biggest tips personally would be allowing babysitting if you know you cant be one every day to care for it. That can be done in your settings.

Next tips would be to care for community Ryus to keep the luck of your Ryu up.

The more you care for your ryu and other ryus the more scenes and paints you can unlock

congrats on the ryu! my suggestion is going to this list Ariealle made and go down to "take care" of ryus to start unlocking stuffy stuffs- like random scenes and paints

congratulations, fufrag! welcome to parenthood. :) my only little tip would be, if you are on an evolution run and want to keep it going, make sure all of your stars on your edit profile page are full. that'll guarantee you the next stage. hope you have lots of fun. :)
