View Full Version : Horizon: Scammed me out of $250 (MSPP)
Well, I have participated in two trades today on this site.
One, was to buy a MSPP (TCG) from Mike for $250. The second one was to lend the MSPP to Horizon, for approximately 10m NP payment.
It seems that this second transaction has left me shortchanged by quite a bit. Even using Mike as a middle-man, they managed to steal the TCG.
I really don't know what to think at the moment. Gutted, obviously.

Real sorry man! I'm really pissed off... she was so clever and fast.
I entered her account changed the info, logged off, sent the mspp to that account, got the av, sent the Sword and when I clicked on the the MSPP, I got an error and when I refreshed the page it was gone and She had logged off of MSN.
Since it was me whom was in the middle I'll fix this up some how :/

I wouldn't have done this under normal circumstances, I just thought it would have been a chance to help the site get to its feet with a few successful trades, and a bit of trust between members.
Obviously, I'm highly disappointed in how that ended up.

I dont think its good to trade now, just wait for a while and then trade , see the active members, because right now everyone has 0 posts all are equal no one knows whos a scammer and whos reaaally trustworthy.

Well, resolved my side, gave him my UC Plushie Zafara as a sorry, I failed to be a MM.

Did you also Log out? Because if you dont log out then the other user will already be signed in and then could do anything
No, he didn't do either as far I know. I don't blame him, though, he hasn't really done this before. I asked him to do this at short notice.

If he didnt change email the person could have done Forget Password anytime he likes
and If he didnt log out then he could transfer the Item anytime he likes as he wouldnt be logged out
So, it was 100% Pinned, she pinned for the safety, of course, so I changed the pw real quick and logged off.
Sent the MSPP, logged back it got av, sent the sword(the payment for av) and when I clicked on the MSPP, it was gone.
And she had logged off of MSN.
Was just trying to be nice, they requested me to MM, accepted to be nice for the site and all... And I learned never will MM again.
Neither of you were online, so they requested me.

If you dont change email then its useless to change the password :(

So it wouldn't be suspicious in a way, right now for me to pin crack the account and get the Pin, would've had taken a while, do to I didn't have spare emails and didn't think of that atm.

I've been working with lends and this isnt how does this work... If the person doesnt has intention to scam, then you're fine, but if you do this and the user wants to scam, you're done buddy...
If you dont know what you're doing, you should say "no" or learn before to evade situations like this... Sorry for your lost :/

Ouch, sorry to hear this happened... I was scammed of a BGC a year ago and it bites :(

also if anyone is in desperate need of a mm i have made a LOT of trades and i would do it. but mming is something that should probably be done through the official mms
They probably did a password request to their email :/
As someone said, this isn't the best time to trade.
Just wait a bit more or something.

They wanted to buy an mspp from me the past week or so.
They said they sent me an amazon gift card, but I never got it..
They also said they didn't have enough money to buy til after Christmas.

^You can login into two different neo accounts at the same time using say ie and chrome, or three if you got ff

He probably means the ticket part, and at this time, I think you could actually get it back through ticketting, but it would just take over a month.

I agree with Shichibukai ... Serious trades might be a better idea to save up for when the forums are more serious. At this point it's just not clear enough yet. :(

Wow I'm soo sorry to hear this, I guess with the new rep system trading will become safer though.
yeah i guess its my fault, i had a wayyy better rep than him, but i went first because he said he was waiting on another trade to go through and i was in a rush and we had traded before so i thought it would be fine. my own stupid mistake i guess whatever

I'm not going to at all ... on the other forums I made a succesful trade on my old account, but seeing as I was quiet most of the time noone really knows who I am. Even tho I'm around for quite some time, lol. I'll wait till I see who I can trust here, and till I build up some myself.

Well, also alot of you know each other already from HB. I never went over to HB, so everyone's a stranger to me cept a select few from DZ, so everyone looks like stranger danger right now, lol.

yeah im usually quite careful and on hb i had a rep where i never had to go first with anyone who wasnt completely trustworthy so i was good there
