We were used to care requests but back then there was only 1 or 2 lists, none was updated constantly. At this point I believe any of the threads are fine (I bounce from here to care and vice versa unless I see a new parent so I visit Ice's thread), I normally checked if the last post on a thread was me and so I jumped to another one so I don't feel like talking to myself lol

Whatever you feel comfortable to go with plus you can always tag Ari to let her know :)

I do wish I caught them sooner or at least took a look when I was at work and it was slow.
That way not all of them would be in need of care! Haven't seen/compiled a list that long in awhile.
I might also send friend requests to everyone on that list, that way in case no one else can get to them, at least someone will be able to! :D

I think it's ok, the list really helps me a lot. I normally go sweeping through yours and use Ice's one to check if an old parent came back.

But so far with new users coming and ryugotchis growing in number, it's nice to have an updated list to not let someone out :)

I went through the entire thing, eggs and all. I saw one was not above, which prompted me to check for more. I don't think there were. a hatched egg though so a win. needs help still.

Your welcome! I do a ryu sweep every day! Every single ryu on the list gets checked! I also started to keep an eye on users who havent been active in awhile. Sometimes life happens and people cant ask for a sitter. I try to keep that in mind and keep a closer eye on those Ryu :untroubled:

update for the week done. moved some long term eggs down the list. added someone new too. thought to do some stat fun.

if I had to estimate, I'd say I move around 2 - 3 eggs down the list in a week.
at the same time, I move about 0 - 1 eggs back to main a week.

maybe more for inactive, not sure. i had a list saved when i scrounged for all of them last time. unfortunately, I save things inside other things and lose them. like i'll have notepad open typing away. and then space down to not see what i wrote above, like a fresh page, and then start something new. so. yes.

If I notice someone hasn't been online in awhile (over 24 hrs) I will keep a special eye on those pets because I understand life can be chaotic sometimes and you aren't able to come check your pet. (Timmy and i GOT YOU!)

If you havent been active for a week, I will just take care of your pet until I see you active again.

Went and cared for all these this morning, a few were at 0 hearts, no deaths on my watch

Just try to keep in mind that active users might want to feed and play with their pets too. :rolleyes: I could go quicker and literally have every ryu fed before any owners get to them...


Right now my focus is the users who haven't been online in 2+ days. That makes things a little quicker for me to check, because active parents will feed and play with their pets by default. Mostly checking for poos💩 and keeping the hearts up to half.

best suggestion would be to help your Ryu and others out as much as possible. I believe that bg is rng (maybe? it is a user creation, so it may have some prerequisites as well??), so you could happen upon it at any time.

There's a chance to evolve or change branches roughly every 30 days, if I'm remembering correctly. :)

It definitely evolves quicker than that, I had a cat before that evolved to stage 3, and I want to say each evo was about 2 weeks apart. But I want to know if theres a set time for this, and if when the time comes and you don't have max luck, you jump branches.

They tend to evolve between 16-20 days roughly.

On the other hand, reroll is every 30 days :)

big huge ass update has landed 2 hours later.

as a result of some inner workings by the creator, a whole bunch of ryus came back to life!! with saying that, I've gone ahead and did an entire update. we went from.. 287.. 288.. 289.?? active ryus (which includes active babysitting, babysitting off, eggs and dead ryus, so long as they userbar is active) - to 315 when I started the updated, to 314 (I saw that!!! #creepin).

here is the data collected as a result, which I already think I'm wrong for so please, it might be off a little.

26? ryus came back from forever parents.
16? of the 26 ryus have returned to egg states.
10? of the 26 ryus were added back to the active list.
12 new eggs from active list.
no eggs moved to egg list.
7 eggs hatched.
(2) bars removed.
no deaths.
no revivals.

interesting note to make that after this mass revival went into effect, two ryus that I assumed were immortal (obvs not but never needed help), both happen to be in eggs at the same time. I've never seen them in eggs for as long as I can remember. highly intrigued.

it's just my own little thing I made up as some users have literally been in eggs for years, and although their Ryu is active on their ub stack, with the amount of Ryus in circulation, thought it'd be nice/helpful to skip over the ones that are in eggs to save some time while cleaning.

I used to have my own list for a while, and it saved me a ton of time to skip over the ones I knew weren't fully active to take care of. I'd clean the list in 30 min (or try to, my goal was always before the next refresh). as time went on and Ryus grew in numbers and it takes a lot longer. so much so, it's really hard to remember who to skip. even active ones on the main list that are listed in eggs at the time, could very well hatch after I post an update. I keep track of the eggs for about 4 weeks before I decide to move them down.

ultimately, people may not like to skip. that's okay. that's why all the Ryus are listed as well, just in a different section.

generally, out of the "forever eggs," 1 may hatch a week.

I really like the layout, but if anyone has any suggestions, ever, to improve, please let me know. please. I'd love to hear!

Just did a run through of the Ryu's and nothing to report. Had a few little ones that had a mess, but I managed to clean them up.

hey hey, every owner/user interested in Ryus! I've done some changes to the list... with the gracious and kindest help from Bat, he created a much easier way to keep everything aligned and updated. nice for me, better for you all to get what you need to get done quicker!

in saying that, I have added an additional perk! now with a cute lil guy indicator, you can tell which Ryus are under the weather, so they can receive the best care!
as well, any owners that have baby sitting off, will be indicated with red! yay! hopefully this will help make things a little quicker for those that wanna do a sweep of the list, or just care for Ryus that are able to be cared for, or to just take care of the wee ill ones.

any suggestions? I am always happy to hear! colour change? add something? change the lil guy emoji? (I like him, sorry lol).

That's currently the way it's coded to work. Being sick overrides the buddy waking behavior that would normally make a Ryugotchi capable of being cared for in it's owner's absence. Is that something that needs reconsidering?

I was thinking of it partially as a time-zone thing, making sure we don't lose any ryus due to the ryuvirus, but I'm curious what other people think as well, like Ariealle . :$ Also caring for them - I tend to take the night shift. :$

I think this makes it hard for people in less-popular timezones to receive care while sick (or give care to others), and at least one sick ryu (Menine's) has died due to unable to be cared for even though a lot of us have been keeping a keen eye.

Agreed, would love to be able to give care to friends' ryus who haven't been online for a bit and are on the doorstep of death :(

Fair enough. I've removed the condition. If you're friends with the owner of a sleeping Ryugotchi, that Ryugotchi will wake up whenever you come across them in the forum or their owner's profile, so long as their owner has babysitting turned on.

Bat quick question though, are previously sick ryus supposed to have maintained their sick status in the "awake-for-friends" state? Because I checked on a few users I am friends with that were previously sick, but now that they're awake they don't have the sick flag anymore.

I just took care of Kylae and.. Rebel? I think. Both of their Ryus disappeared and I thought they died until I attempted to scoop the poop. it worked and they came back! but that was interesting to note.

Yes.... if someone is away for the weekend and got sick while away, their Ryu is going to die even if they had asked for babysitting help.

Hi all, went through the entire list -- sent out friend requests to everyone since you can care for friends ryus now!

Saw a lot of poop so I scooped up appropriately and cared for everyone since they were down to 3 1/2 health bars. Don't forget to care for the cured too!

Still see a lot of ryus sleeping that are sick :( Wanted to tend to them but couldnt :(
