I am looking to get a new gaming laptop; I checked Newegg, but did not find that many high-end laptops. Where else is a good place to buy a gaming laptop, I am looking to stay around $2000?

If you can afford that much, why not just get a desktop?

Alienware Aurora :D it's one of the best imo.

I have a good desktop (built from scratch), I need to replace my laptop (for trips mostly).

I would say a MacBook Air if you want something light :D

i mean just get something that can handle what you need to do.

if it's just gaming, anything with an i7 core, and a ssd or hard drive that has at least 16mb cache, and 3gb+ speed, and at least 8GBs of ram, you should be fine.

also make sure the screen is 15' or higher

Definitely buy something high-end with a name like Alienware.

But all gaming laptops never last, trust me. I was going to suggest to buy a desktop for all gaming purposes but someone above already said that.

I always recommend a Macbook Pro, but NOT for gaming. Macs are a pain in the ass for gaming.

I would never recommend a laptop built for gaming, there's just not enough space to do a good job. The only chance you have of getting a really good gaming laptop (besides alienware) is to do a little research and build one yourself. It really isn't that hard to build one and you'll save a lot of money.
