Pokemon GoFest 2022

Hey yall! Day one of Pokemon Go Fest is over and today is Day 2. Is anyone from CK playing this year? If so, did you score any good shinies (I got 1 decent Rufflet that I evolved)?

As for the different type collections, Did you catch em all?

I ended up doing a few of the Nihilego raids, caught a shiny Axew, Wailmer, Yungoos, Spinarak and Alolan Exeggutor. Oh and a shiny flower head thingy pikachu. Didn't bother paying for the pass to get the whole experience, only because I didn't have a lot of time to play over the weekend unfortunately. (That and at $22AUD I thought it was a bit rich tbh for what was on offer....)

Day 2 hasn't started yet here, but yesterday I did manage to get a couple of the shinies I was after (Shroomish, Axew, Girafarig and Karrablast) so I'm pretty excited about that. The collectors challenges were way too easy, though. I think that was a side-effect of just how overly busy the Johto Tour was in combination with people complaining. Seems Niantic isn't the best at balancing things and will just continue to bounce between extremes over and over.

Nihilego is definitely on my list for something to try and get a few good specimens of. It seems to be the best non-mega Poison attacker for PvE (just squeaking in above Roserade) so shoring up my raid teams with a couple of them doesn't seem like a *bad* idea, especially given I do have free raid passes to use up.

I got over 20 shinies including 2 of the pikachu's so that was exciting! No axew or rufflet though

I bought the pass and got no shinies lmao. as soon as the even ended i got a shiny. naturally.

but i got mr mime, tropius, torkoal and unown, so alright. i finally finished off my dang kanto dex.

I found a shiny omanyte & swinub but I had those shinies prior to Go Fest.
Kinda envious at all the shinies everyone got!

I found a shiny litleo. And got a couple of the Nihilego. I did not get a pass. Are those raid warp things only for people who got the pass?

This GoFest wasn’t horrible, my mom, best friend and I went together and played!

I got 2 Shiny Kyogre. And then a groudon, wailmer, axew, Galarian muk, turtwig, meditite, binacle, the costumed pikachu?, seedot and larvitar!

My mom traded me a shiny reshiram for a kyogre and we were lucky friends so that was neat!!

I wanted Shroomish desperately but alas you win some and lose some!

Go Fest was alright. I've had better results with shiny hunting in past ones, though.

I found some repeats of shinies I already had, such as bronzor, spheal, wailmer and chimchar. The newer ones I found included axew (it took over 20 raids of nothing and then I just ended up finding one wild :crushed:), pidove, karrablast, rufflet, buizel, and litleo. Tried hunting for shiny shroomish, but no luck.

I do wish I tried more groudon raids for the shiny, but I was so fixated on shiny axew that I ended up only doing one, lol. Did get a nihilego, though!

After day two ended I ended up with a few more shinies including another two Axew, a Magnemite, and a Shelmet. I also focused hard on Nihilego raids using a mix of the free ticket holder passes and some leftover premium passes I had laying around and managed to assemble a team of 6 90%+ IV Nihilego so I am absolutely set on Poison attackers for raids for the future.
