My favourite card of them all is the Sylveon V in a cute little bakery. I always prefer cards with original drawings rather than CGI model cards.
I am a big fan of Pokemon cards, and have collected almost 5000 individual cards in over 10 binders. I don't have anything super special or expensive, but I find value in every card, even the commons.

I can't afford any of the new sets due to covid, BUT, I have quite a few old sets, most of my cards are from X/Y era but i have some ORAS and gen 7. I don't have a lot of old school cards anymore, I used to collect more hardcore in the olden days of gen 1 and 2 but an unfortunate thing happened to my binders that had my cards... So I gave up for a long, long time.

These new sets are looking amazing, were they hard to get with all the scalpers buying everything up lately? I heard that's made it REALLY hard to get new packs, decks, etc lately.

Oh no.. your poor binders. I'm sorry they met with a terrible fate. Yeah, randomly, as soon as the pandemic hit, people got SUPER obsessed with Pokemon cards again.
In order to get this booster box, my wife apparently was just very lucky and refreshed at the right time on the Pokemon Center!

I haven’t thought about pokemon cards in YEARS. I used to buy them a lot when my brother are kids but they’re in high school now and don’t care anymore :p so I fell out of it too, even though I will still play the pokemon titles

You got super lucky, I'm so tired of scalpers, normal people like you who just want a set have to go through so much work just cus someone wants a fast buck. I'm glad you got one though, this set is awesome.

Ooohhh, what a haul!! Congrats!! I couldn't get my hands on any booster boxes so I've been stalking best buy / target hoping to get a restock. Ordered some packs and ETBs earlier today and yesterday on Bestbuy! :D :D Can't wait to get them and hopefully pull some good cards!

Have you been collecting this whole time? Or did you also start again during the pandemic?

I started collecting after I went to see Detective Pikachu. They gave out free packs of pokemon cards at the theatre and it woke up a beast inside of me I forgot existed.

I'm currently collecting a 1st Edition and regular set of the first 3 released sets Jungle, Fossil and Base

Currently I have a complete base set, Jungle Set 1st Ed. And regular, and a near complete set of Fossil Reg and 1st Ed.

Since My Jungle set is the only complete set I'll send some photos.

That is so cool! I'm so jealous. I don't have any set completed. I'm not willing to spend more than 10 dollars on one card, so I just have a loooooot of stuff from random different sets haha. I just think theyre neat though, I don't need anything super rare.

Oh, the art on these is so pretty! And there's nothing like the smell of brand new cards, I'll never forget that, hahaha. I would love to get back into collecting Pokemon cards, there were quite a few illustrators that I really appreciated. But I sold all my cards on eBay in bulk like a fool when I needed money in college. Do you collect other Pokémon merch besides cards?
