Rather than sporadically updating you through posts around the forums, I'll keep notes on changes to the Ryugotchi world here in this thread instead! Here's what's new with Ryus!
December 26th, 2020
- Added some new options to the Ryugotchi section of your profile editor ([Only registered and activated users can see links]).
Allow babysitting - let other members of the community feed, play with and clean up after your Ryugotchi for you! Unchecking this option means that only you can tend to your Ryugotchi, so be careful not to let it die!
Allow evolutions - let your Ryugotchi evolve or jump between species branches periodically! Unchecking this option will keep your Ryugotchi at its current evolution.
Name - give your Ryugotchi a name, and it'll be proudly displayed whenever someone pats your Ryugotchi around the forum.

- Increased the time frame of availability for the "Winter Funderland" scene.
- Decreased the criteria for unlocking the "Cavernous", "Deserted" and "Surf's Up" scenes.
- Fixed a glitch that prevented the "Moon Walker" scene from being unlocked.
- Fixed a glitch that prevented the "Lava Lakeside" scene from being unlocked.
April 16th, 2021
- Added new options to the Ryugotchi section of your profile editor ([Only registered and activated users can see links]).
Lucky stars - now you can keep track of your Ryugotchi's luckiness on a scale of zero to five stars. This should make it easier to gauge your chances for a snazzy evolution!
Paint - colorize your Ryugotchi's world by earning paint cans! Your colors even follow your Ryugotchi when they visit a friend!

Visitor - your Ryugotchi can now hang out with a buddy's Ryugotchi in each other's userbars!
To set up a play date, simply select your buddy's username from your "Visitor" drop down menu and have them select your username from theirs. Watch out though! If your Ryugotchi's userbar is a mess, or if they're not feeling well, then they won't be allowed to have visitors!
This perk will only be available if you've taken extra good care of your Ryugotchi since unlocking them! If you've been neglecting your Ryugotchi, then you'll need to work at taking better care of it for a bit!

- Added five new unlockable scenes from the winners of the Ryugotchi Scene Creation contest ([Only registered and activated users can see links])
- Added two new evolution branches with three evolutions each
- Fixed issue that drastically reduced the chances of unlocking new scenes
April 19th, 2021

- Fixed issues with the Candy Striped paint effect that caused sprites to be cut off when rendering
- Removed health and options HUD as well as interaction buttons when a Ryugotchi has babysitting turned off

- Added the "I survived the Ryupocalypse and all I got was this lousy scene" scene to each user who has unlocked a Ryugotchi up to this date

- Added automatic Ryugotchi ownership ban for chronically negligent parents
If a Ryugotchi in your care dies several times, then it will be taken away. Some of you are setting high scores for deaths! Please remember that this unlockable needs your love and care in order to remain unlocked.
- Added Ryugotchi hibernation
If you remove your Ryugotchi userbar from your displayed userbar collection (or if it gets bumped when you unlock another userbar), then it will no longer lose health until you re-add it.
- Fixed issues with visitor sleepover animations for Ryugotchis who sleep in bird houses or underwater castles
August 7th, 2021
- Added several button color selection options to the Ryugotchi section of your edit profile ([Only registered and activated users can see links]) page
- Added option to expand a Ryugotchi to full screen when double-clicked or double-tapped on mobile - to exit full screen, click or press on the space outside of the Ryugotchi
- Friends will now be able to take care of each other's Ryugotchis, even when those Ryugotchis would normally be sleeping - no more going to bed hungry or surrounded by filth!
August 7th, 2022

October 8th, 2023

Similar to April's bonus, this evolution can be unlocked after both levels 2 and 3, extending the evolution cap during the month of October!
