I'll refrain from posting my webcomic recommendations cause they're mostly BL :'D

But I can 100% recommend:
Demon Knights - DC
Loki Agent of Asgard - Marvel
Deadpool - Marvel
Sandman - Vertigo / DC
Constantine - DC
Lucifer - DC

I cannot recommend Saga by Brian K Vaughan and Fiona Staples enough!!! It is on hiatus for until the fall I believe, but there's 9 volumes currently out.

[DC Comics]

I'm a huge DC nerd so that's going to show in my biases.

For one-off, contained arcs that don't require any continuity or prior reading there's a few good options.

Injustice - I HIGHLY recommend this series - it's the comic book story of the video games but it takes place 5 years prior to the start of the first game. It tells the story of exactly how the world got to be the way it is in the game, what happened to a bunch of heroes, the various failed attempts through the years to stop Superman. Honestly probably one of my favorite comic book series of all times. Whether you've played the games or not, I honestly can't recommend this series enough.

There's also another series that takes place in between the Injustice 1 and Injustice 2 games which is worth the read as well if you enjoyed the first one.

Dark Knights: Metal - the entire Justice League is Batman (Batman with a GL ring, Batman with the speed force, Batman as Cyborg, etc.) and they're all evil. I think this might technically be canon within the mainstream continuity but you can pick up with just these books and get the story completely.

There's a sequel to that coming out, too (it might actually already be out) but I don't know much about that.

But those are some fantastic series that anyone can jump right in to!

I have a deep fondness for O'Barr and The Crow but its subsequent iterations are pretty good, especially Curare.

And I will always recommend Watchmen (DC).

I've been thinking about getting into some Constantine. Is there a specific series/time period you recommend starting with?

Look, I'm not very fond of old comics, so my fave DC comics are definitely those from The New 52, including Constantine. IMO both the narrative and art are way better in this version.
And BL is Boy's Love, basically gay guys. It's pretty common for webcomics hahahaha

Gotcha :) So just start out with N52 Constantine? Does it get a reboot in Rebirth or does it continue on in there?
