Anyone still playing?

I was thinking of coming back into maplestory or even Maplestory 2.

Honestly not a huge fan of Maplestory M as the "auto" mode makes it just like a basic movie and plays for you.:cower:

Maplestory 2 is very different from the first one, so keep that in mind. I've been playing some private servers over the past year, happy to recommend a few if you're into that as well!

I did start playing again recently, but it's quite a bit different from what I remember, and not honestly as fun anymore to me. People seem a lot more distant and the game has a lot of quality of life improvements that make it super easy. Reboot isn't bad though. If you're wanting to get back into the game, I'd suggest trying a reboot server over the regular ones.

Maplestory 2 is closing down so I'd suggest not to play that, reboot is awesome do. I tend to play alot. Take a bit of time out and then come back and play alot again. I really can't keep away from the game for to long. I just really enjoy it, just need more people to play with :D

Just play a private server. Like v62 or v83 server.

Either that or play GMS Bera or GMS Reboot. GMS poo now though

How different is MS2 compared to MS? I tried the one for the phone but it was difficult to be playing on the phone. Please recommend some private servers so I can try. The quarantine is having me bored out of my mind.

Bera has some people on it, but yea Reboot is by far the most active. Imo they should make a fresh reboot server too.

Oh gms is terrible with bans...there are bots everywhere. Private servers will ban quick though

Man, sounds like maplestory is sorta falling apart. I remember when it was 'the game' back in the days and all my friends played it.

I went through the whole process of installing and remembering my old accounts and it just doesn't feel the same anymore. I remember Hennesy being populated af, but now it's a ghost town and there's no social aspect. Even the PQ's are dead.

maplestory fell off years ago at this point. Its a dead game maple 2 they had to close cause literally no one cared.

I don't play the official game anymore, I go on private servers every now and then to fulfil my nostalgia. Maplestory M is awful.

I still play on scania! Part of me really hates how easy they have made it to just teleport to wherever you need to go, half of the adventure and fun of the game for me 14 years ago was having to traverse the world to get to places, now the adventure is just gone.

A lot of the game has been heavily streamlined and most choices are pointless now. There's really only one set of equipment you should be wearing at any given time, one stat distribution for each class, and all skills can be maxed. One of the few fiddly things is getting bonuses and that's just gambling since the scrolls have been removed from the game (in Reboot, anyway). The only "new" thing I enjoy is the sense of a metagame, where each individual character means very little without the support of legion stats and link skills. I used to play semi-solo anyway, so even though it's sad that the community isn't there in the game with you, if you join a guild you can chat with people outside the game while rarely having to coordinate in-game.

I still �play� if by play you mean henehoe. B) haha reboot recently got Zero class though (finally) so that�s kind of cool. But yeah I think it�s fun still to play new classes here and there but there is a very set progression path no matter what you do so everything is quite streamlined, I agree.

what are the servers like? People still active? are they all merged finally lol, i feel like maple m is more popular and still thats trash
