reboot is by far a better game in my opinion. it's like classic maplestory.

True, but longevity is an issue. Doesn't help if the private server dies after 1 year, and you've invested significant time in it.

Otherwise, like what others said, you could always try the Reboot servers. Instead of spending actual cash on items like cubes, you use mesos to buy them. You can easily avoid spending actual cash in the game by playing Reboot.

Mine is running for many years now. There's alot of players in the server... around 1500 daily so :o_o:
