Title: The awakening of Intelligence
Author: Jiddu Krishnamurti
Type of book: Educational
Number of pages: 538 pages

About the book: This comprehensive record of Krishnamurti’s teachings is an excellent, wide-ranging introduction to the great philosopher’s thought. With among others, Jacob Needleman, Alain Naude, and Swami Venkatasananda, Krishnamurti examines such issues as the role of the teacher and tradition; the need for awareness of ‘cosmic consciousness; the problem of good and evil; and traditional Vedanta methods of help for different levels of seekers.

I would highly suggest this book, I am only halfway through and it has opened my eyes to many things; some I knew others I didn't. Overall great book to get you thinking.

Title of book: Morpheus Road: The Black (book 2 of the Morpheus Road series)
Author: DJ MacHale
Type of book: Supernatural/Sci-Fi/Fantasy
# of pages: 405

About the book:
A series about 2 friends, one dies in a horrible accident/murder. Then his ghost comes back to lead the main character to help solve the mystery.

I'm a huge DJ MacHale fan! Read the whole Pendragon series a while back. This book is really different than those books tho. It's funny tho, because it has some references that only Pendragon fans would understand.

I read the Hunger Games trilogy in around 2 days because I was so into it. And then when I got to the end of Mockingjay, I was all disappointed because it was such a depressing and just terrible way to end the series. But it would be realistic to end with a bunch of people dying and separating. But I read books because I don't like reality. xD So like I said, really disappointing.

I'm in the process of reading the Hunger Games Trilogy. Not -quite- my cup of tea, but they're ok. I like them a whole lot more than I liked Twilight(ugh...).

I need start Mockingjay. So far they've been fast reads for me, but I'm a fast reader anyway and they're only around 400 pages each. The story is alright, but I wish it had been written for adults, not for teens. I might enjoy it a bit more. Haven't seen the movie and received some terrible reviews about it anyway. Maybe I'll torrent(can I say that?) it sometime instead of spending the $8 to see it in theaters.

Next I plan to start Black Prism, by Brent Weeks. I LOVED his Night Angel Trilogy, so I figured I'd try his other book as well. :)

Title of book: Twelve
Author: Nick McDonell
Type of book: novel
# of pages: 224

Twelve is the first book written by the 17 years old auther Nick McDonell.
Twelve is the name of a new and hard drug.
The book is about the teenagers from New Yorks Upper East Side (like the teens from Gossip Girl :D).
It shows off the "real" live of the teens. They are all rich but not happy. Their parents have no time for them so they start taking drugs, drinking to much, having sex with people they don't really know and so on. Because of all this shit they even kill eachother!

The sad thing about the book is that's a true story. :(
At the beginning, Nick McDonell writes:

Can we please all stand and have a moment of silence for those student who died.

And can we now have a moment of silence for those student who killed them.

Title of book: The Catcher in the Rye
Author: George R.R Martin
Type of book: Fiction - American Literature
# of pages: IDEK but it's pretty short

The majority of the novel takes place in December 1949. The story commences with Holden Caulfield, the seventeen-year-old narrator and protagonist of Catcher, addressing the reader directly from a mental hospital in southern California. He wants to tell us about events that took place over a two-day period the previous December. It is a frame story, or long flashback, constructed through Holden's memory as he describes encounters he has had with students and faculty of Pencey Prep in Agerstown, Pennsylvania. He criticizes them for being superficial, as he would say, "phony."

Title of book: Catch-22
Author: Joseph Heller
Type of book: Anti-war novel, BOOK THAT WILL LEAVE YOU MINDFCKED COUNTLESS OF TIMES - Guaranteed by CloudAcara
# of pages: 464

About the book:
Set in the closing months of World War II in an American bomber squadron off the coast of Italy, "Catch-22" is the story of a bombardier named Yossarian who is frantic and furious because thousands of people he has never even met keep trying to kill him.

Quote from page 56 Showing small part of all the craziness this book has to offer.
"There was only one catch and that was Catch-22, which specified that a concern for one's own safety in the face of dangers that were real and immediate was the process of a rational mind. Orr was crazy and could be grounded. All he had to do was ask; and as soon as he did, he would no longer be crazy and would have to fly more missions. Orr would be crazy to fly more missions and sane if he didn't, but if he was sane, he had to fly them. If he flew them, he was crazy and didn't have to; but if he didn't want to, he was sane and had to. Yossarian was moved very deeply by the absolute simplicity of this clause of Catch-22 and let out a respectful whistle."

The Mystery of Grace by Charles de Lint.

I've only just started reading it and it's been really interesting so far. Though I'm afraid all that's interesting has already been revealed, and that the rest of the book will be boring, but I hope the author actually has a whole lot more in store cause I really like the plot :)

My favourite series is Harry Dresden files by Jim Butcher. Lovelovelove the wit.
