This thread is dedicated to keeping up to speed on current Pokemon video game events!
That includes Pokemon distributions, Global Missions, Virtual Console releases, and other such things.
It'll be NA and EU-centric, and I'll include events for both the 3DS series and Pokemon Go.
This upcoming year is going to be a busy one, with many distributions of legendary Pokemon already announced.
Feel free to ask questions, ask for coverage on specific events, and whatnot. :)

Dialga & Palkia Gamestop Distribution

From February 2nd until February 28th,
GameStop (USA) and GAME (UK) stores will be distributing code cards for these legendary Pokemon!
Dialga will be obtainable in Moon and Ultra Moon, while Palkia will be obtained in Sun and Ultra Sun.
In Sun and Moon they will arrive at level 60, while in the Ultra games they will arrive at level 100 and holding a Gold Bottle Cap.
Both will have attacks typical of their level, be in a Cherish Ball, and have a Classic Ribbon.
Their nature can be reset for.
Presumably, there will be one code per card, with that one code working on any of the four games.
Be sure to swing by GameStop or GAME stores to pick up a code if you're missing one of these powerful primordial dragons!

Pokemon GO Community Day #2

The second in special events is coming to Pokemon GO on February 24nd!
Going from 11 AM to 2 PM for all NA players, this event will feature greatly increased Dratini spawns, have Lure Modules last for 3 hours, and all players will receive 3x the usual amount of Stardust from captures and other activities.
(For Europe, it lasts from 10 AM to 1 PM, and for Asia+Pacific regions, it lasts from 12 PM to 3 PM.)

Virtual Console Celebi Distribution
From September 22nd, 2017, to September 21st, 2018,
if you purchase Pokemon Gold or Pokemon Silver on the 3DS Virtual Console, you'll get a free redeemable code for a Celebi.
(You get this code at the checkout screen for buying one of these titles.)

This Celebi comes in a Cherish Ball, at level 30, with typical attacks. Its nature can be reset for.
Celebi cannot be obtained outside of events, so be sure to grab it for your Pokedex.
