Favorite Pokemon Movie?

With there being a lot of Pokemon movies, which one is your favorite?

Movie 1 is just pure nostalgia since it's Mewtwo. Also Donphan was in this movie?!??!?!?!

Movie 1/2 Return of Mewtwo is my favorite because it's more team rocket focused and had a good story to redeem Mewtwo's character.

Movie 3 Spell of Unown would be my 2nd favorite since it's just epic with Molly vs Brock/Misty battles.

It's a tie between the first movie and Heroes, for me. The First Movie holds a special place in my heart because it's the first Pokemon movie I ever watched, but Pokemon Heroes has a special charm to it that I haven't noticed in other Pokemon movies. That, and I really like Latias and Latios.

Pokemon the First Movie. Watched it recently and it's still watchable despite not being a kid anymore. Remember a lot of hype leading up to it and watching it in the movie theaters with my friends. Good memories.

Mewtwo Strikes Back: Evolution

I thought it looked a little more lifelike and creeped me out to be honest.

Ahh, it's so hard to choose. I seriously think up until Zoroark: Master of Illusions everything was pretty solid. The nostalgia factor is too strong with many that I can't really choose. I'm torn between Heroes, Mewtwo Strikes Back and Pok�mon the Movie 2000. Lucario and the Mystery of Mew as well.

I think it may be a tie between Heroes and Mewtwo Strikes Back. I remember sobbing like crazy as kid after watching Pokemon Heroes for the first time. Was not expecting that ending. More recently I watched Mewtwo Strikes Back and as silly as it sounds, Mewtwo's words towards the end really resonated with me (and I cried, big baby here). I didn't really pick up the depth of the film as a kid which made the adult me appreciate it that much more.

Pokemon 2000 has Lugia in it and Lugia is 20/10, best mon ever. Plus Lugia's song, holy moly what a gem of a melody.

So yeah, I can't really choose. 12th movie and up are worth watching imo. :)

Mine is possibly Jirachi—Wish Maker, but mostly because that I just really like the song (I watched the Japanese version but I believed that the English version got the same melody?) and got lots of nostalgia feeling whenever I listen to it.

Have you seen the remake? I was put off by the trailer but I watched it and it was honestly pretty good. It's not quite the old one but honestly some of the animation is pretty amazing. It's worth giving it a chance in my opinion.

But to answer the question, Pokemon the First Movie will always be my answer, too <3. To be honest, I also liked the 'alternate timeline' movie they released a couple years ago. I think it was called "Pokemon the Movie: I Choose You". I haven't seen the movies past the Deoxys vs Rayquaza one, but that was up there as one of my favorites. (Probably because it was a lot of nostalgia bait, but I'm a sucker for that).

I don't know. Something doesn't fit for me with the 3D Pokemons. They don't seems right for me. Goes the same for Detective Pikachu movie.
Maybe I'm just a fanboy of the firsts generations and I don't want anything else, because I also hate those new pokemons (Everyone after Deoxys)

Yeah to be fair, I only saw the first few movies! I only watch the old school Pokemon series too ;)

Im very dedicated to the original 150, but looking back at the show it was clear they hinted at more pokemon with Ho-Oh flying by. I've only recently started opening up to the newer pokemon because the ones like Minccino and that corgi looking one exist :P

I honestly haven't seen that many of them - but of what I have seen, surely the original is my favorite just based on the nostalgia factor alone. That Pikachu crying scene will never not make me sob like a baby

I also used to religiously rewatch the Pikachu shorts and I highly recommend them. Camp Pikachu and Gotta Dance are hilarious.
