I was looking for a way to help track since the game doesn't explain it, it's a Myth that it pulses when you're close!
Sorry for link but its long and i didn't wanna just rip it off.

Today I tracked a pokemon at 0 footsteps and it didn't appear in my perimeter to capture. I think it was a seaking judging by silhoutte.

How long did you wait?
like a few seconds. also, even at 3 foot steps but if it is at the first on the grid (top left) it will appear instantly.

I've been trying to track a clefairy for days >.< I've seen an arcanine nearby too but everything is always 3 footsteps so I've been having the grid open
