Anybody do/tried P90X?
I'm thinking about doing it. I heard it will kick your ass!
I'm a runner, but I'm kind of in a rut right now and want to try something different. :)

Opinions on this? Or what would you recommend that is similar?

I have done this program, it worked well for me (does not kick your ass as much as insanity). I wish Tony would just shut up every once in a while, and just do the exercise.

Just did the first DVD today for the "lean" plan (as opposed to the standard or doubles). Holy shit it kicked my ass. I'm must be more out of shape than I thought!

I would do Insanity over P90x. I did P90x, it got me cut mainly around my abs but that was the only worthwhile CD of the set. After a few weeks, your body begins to be settled into the routine so I would switch things up every-so weeks.

I think just like anything, it depends on how much work you put into it. I know one of my friends tried doing it and he stuck with it for the whole time. He didn't really become a whole lot stronger or cut or anything, but there was some difference. Like the guy above me said, you might want to look into different reviews of both insanity and p90x

I want to start the P90X program. For the purpose of weight loss, increasing muscle mass and sweating. This good things for detox and regulating blood sugar. If any one have information or experience with this let me know please...

I tried P90x, a little over a year ago.
It seemed to work well, but then I became lazy again. :(

Think I should start it up again. :)

I did p90x for almost a month then injured my hand and had some medical issues with it so stopped working out, I am going to try insanity this time around because p90x the videos are a lot longer and it takes longer (ie 90 days) where as Insanity only take 60 days and the videos are shorter, but p90x will kick your butt as long as you're pushing yourself the whole time.

Yup ive done all of P90x and loved it! Especially the plyo training was awesome for my bball and rowing as it was all that extreme explosive power training. I didn't follow the nutrition however as I was trying a Paleo nutrition guide. But other then that LOVED it!

just remember to change your diet eat like 500 calories less than your metabolism rate. and no matter what you do P90x or insanity you will become really really fit

I'm not trying to lose weight, I'm trying to build/tone muscle. Like I said, I am already a runner.

Then try up the circuit or weight training on top of the cardio work :) I found increasing your protein intake really helps aswell. Try cutting processed carbs also which will help you lean up and creater better muscle definition

I did a couple of the workouts from Insanity, and I know they're similar. All I have to say is good luck and I hope you're already pretty fit!
