HP ENVY TOUCHSMART... CRASHED? URGENT HELP NEEDED!!!

So my HP Envy Touchsmart stopped working...
It will go to login screen, and when i enter the password, it shuts down.
It runs Windows 8 (not 8.1 yet i got lazy)

Wont let me restore it because disc is locked?
Also, it overheats too fast to reset... Its on its side infront of a blizzardy box fan and still only lasts to 13% of reset...

What do I do????
That laptop is/was my life and i cant afford anew one

Can you boot into safemode? Or maybe try refreshing your computer (you will lose installed applications but will keep your data).

Try booting into safemode and checking everything for hardware failure.

Mine did the same when the hard drive was failing, or it could be your fan is broken.

I'd suggest sending it in for repairs. How old is it? HP's customer service is HORRIBLE but if you've still got the warranty and its under a year old, you can send it in for free (minus shipping and handling) to replace a broken hard drive.

If you can, just try to know what's wrong (if its a hardware issue)with it BEFORE you call them otherwise they'll talk you through tests and in circles for hours until you ask to speak to a manager.

If you can't boot into safe mode and you don't want to risk your data, I'd say there's a pretty good bet its a hardware issue and you should send it in.
