Illegit Pokemon?

What do you do with them and what are the consequences of having one?
How do you know if what you get is legit or not?
By illegit, I mean generated Pokemon or gotten through cheat codes etc....

Only thing possible that can happen is that your pokemon bank might be taken away if you have illegit pokemon or they are untradable ~ thats about it.

Not much. Some won't trade. That's about it.

Some won't trade, you can't use them on BattleSpot, or you can't transfer them to Pokebank. But most "hacked" Pokemon get past PC's hack check system unless they have illegal movesets/abilities. (For example a Raichu with Flash Fire, not possible.)
You'll be fine unless you're trying to play competitive. It's not gonna make your 3DS explode or anything.

I generated a ton of Pokemon in gen 6 using an SD card exploit (dunno if it's been patched or not since I haven't played in a few months) and I was fine. Made Volcanions and Hoopas too but those obviously can't be used...mostly genned those for fun.
It's a matter of making them look legit as possible and using a program that generates PIDs and all those other important hidden numbers based on the Pokemon's stats and info.
