Tales of Pirates is alright if you have a LOT of time to spend...
Diablo 3 looks like a good choice since it's got the auction center for paypal transactions (you get real life money for playing -- legally!)

I would recommend dofus. If you like the play style of ff tatics then you will love this game as it is very similar. It is a strategy/adventure game and has a huge world. You can subscribe with ogrines (although that will take you a bit of time to get enough money to subscribe every week).

I tryed Maple story and subeta but found them a bit boring. Never really liked war games. Maybe I should try.

Oh, also forgot team fortress 2 and pretty much most of the games that are free on steam :P don't forget free mw3 over the weekend (to play not to keep :/) on pc
