Clraik Name Change Option tool

Hello fellow members,

I believe that it would be beneficial to Clraik to have a Name Change option tool. This tool would provide an opportunity for members with certain requirements to be able to change their name. The only (key) requirement would be a donation of $2-10 as a way to help maintain Clraik. Here are the options I can visualize:
Requirement
- Clraik rank or higher
- 30+ Thank you
- Donation
- Positive overall feedback from fellow members

Bare in mind that the requirements can be changed or taken off according to the needs, however, the idea still stands and the benefits for all parties are clearly put out.

Please bring me your ideas, opinion or questions so we can optimize (or even scratch if it doesn�t sound doable) this plan.

There is already a way to change your username, you can PM staff :P
We don't have another more public way for you to change your username because we don't have a way to track name changes right now and we don't want people changing their names all the time. It gets confusing haha

Yes I have read a post where people pointed (I believe it was yourself) that you could speak to one or two individuals in order to get a name change.

My idea is to create value for the brand Clraik. By being able to provide an easy to use tool while gaining some type of monetary value for it is what not only Clraik but Neopets.com should strive for.

I am sure that there are tools and coding to be used in order to reach that goal and I believe it would be beneficial to all the parties involved.

Maybe we should look at the main aspects that are needed from both side. These are a few I can come up right now
Moderators:
- A way to track who is who and when did they change
- A commentary to the name change in order to explain the reasoning for change
- A way to keep their name stored in the system in order to help facilitate in tribunal (banning) decision
User:
- Easy access
- Options of payment (similar to the premium)
- 24-48 hours change approval (preferably right when it happened)

I'm with Andrew on this. There is already a way to change your name on clraik.
Just ask Joe or Andrew and only once a year. That's very nice of them.
Or, and this is a shot in the dark, sign up with a name you won't want to change?
No disrespect to those who have signed up with a name you wanted to or did change. Just throwing it out there.

Though I do value your opinion and idea for helping bring revenue to the forum, I feel like this option would make members feel discouraged to continue coming to the forums as it may seem a little too commercial. I might be losing money by not asking for a payment in return to change someones username but at the same time I would rather have my members feel as satisfied as possible.

You can always show your gratitude to the community by donating again and getting clraik VIP. :)

I have no qualms with the status quo, nor am I personally interested in changing my own name.

The idea here is to create value for Clraik and its members. If this idea is to be scratched off, at least make a fixed thread about the conditions or add it to the FAQ or to the Newbie Guidelines (if it is already, then please tell me because I don't think I have seen it). This way it is easy for people to know where to go without having to see them creating threads,etc just to get it done.

I was going to say the same as Andrew & Joe.
You can change your username but your number/ID never changes (e.g. Joe's 1, mine's 9737)
I think I've seen people with a nice iTrader score banned (dunno reasons, but scamming could be one)
As Joe said, if you want to add "value" to the forum just donate for VIP? XD

I think the original reason it wasn't listed anywhere is because we would rather people stick with one username instead of having lots of people messaging us to change them. But we could add a little note in there so that people are able to see the specifics. I'll do that sometime in the near future.
