Looking for recommendations for Pokemon Hacks

I mostly play on VBA on my phone and laptop and I'm looking into the better Pokemon hacks. Does anyone have recommendations for hacks to keep me distracted? Also, does anyone know of a good guide for unpackaging hacks?
