I have always been an avid utorrent user, but now my utorrent has stopped working. The download appears but nothing ever happens. I have tried uninstalling and re-installing, but nothing. Any help?

Have seeds?

If not, no work.

Have you tried using another torrent client? Deluge is a good one IMO, try checking your firewall & allowing utorrent

Could be something security related as Accelerator suggested. I would try a different torrent, but I'm sure you already tried this. :( If you have access to another computer, try to download it from that machine to determine if it's network related.

If bit torrent didn't work I doubt it's the clients fault, have you tried adding the firewall exception, also just in case:
[Only registered and activated users can see links]
As someone said above, does the torrent have seeders? Have you tried using another PC?

I've been using utorrent forever, haven't had a problem yet. Double check your files though, and follow the people above's advice.

It might be blocked in your Windows Firewall
go to Control Panel and from there to Firewall and see if its blocked

If you have HotSpotShield and it auto-runs when you turn your computer on then this is the issue. Disable your VPN.

If you have a Proxy open it wont work, I've experienced that too.

but try to restart your computer it normally solves 99% of all problems :P

Try using another program, uTorrent has become cancer.

The program includes some outbound links and spies (and then profits) on the stuff you download.
