It would another option instead of closing a thread. and it wouldnt be much work for the mods,...its just removing a thread like removing a post or closing a thread.

Locking the thread should be enough.
Of course a delete can be made if the thread is against the rules.

You laugh out loud at things that aren't funny? 0.o

Anywho, Mods already have the power to delete threads and I daresay they have made use of them in the past(for example with spam ads which pop up from time to time) so what are you actually suggesting here? I don't see why a thread needs to be deleted just because it's old. If nothing else, it can serve as a point of reference. Plus, deleting old threads kinda makes the search function redundant.

If its pointless it should be in Spam
If its against the rules it should be deleted

But most importantly its up to the mods and admins to decide what is what.

I like pointless threads they don't hurt anyone, the post count does not increase and people have great conversations of everyday life.
Maybe we can have 1 pointless thread and kill the rest this way people don't keep making new threads about things that have no meaning and people looking in the whats new section know what to expect when entering.

compromises are better than shunning would be long term members.
