There has been an issue in the past where a certain pedophile scumfucker messaged random girls on here and assisted them into getting the programs to work. He not only got the programs to work, but placed a virus he bought which allowed snooping around on their computer even after finishing with TeamViewer. Reports have been made that this user stole pictures, told these girls he attempted explicit actions to them, found their Neopets accounts, broke into some, attempting to watch their webcams and listen to the mics while they did not know, and the list goes on.

I have so far fixed 3 pcs with his virus , some facts:

He bought undetected viruses from hackforums.net
He bought a java virus so it run on mac/linux aswell as windows , one of his targets ran on mac
One of the girls was 15 years old at the time of infection..

This was planned and not something on the spur of the moment.

This might be more general, however: please please be careful before you give out your personal info, pictures, etc to people online, no matter how nice/compassionate/genuine they seem.

You do NOT know someone until you've spent real, substantial time with them. You should NOT trust them with access to your computers or accounts, and you should CERTAINLY not send them any compromising information/pictures until you are absolutely certain you can trust them. I've watched friends and acquaintances only narrowly avoid getting burned... badly.

I wish it were as simple as avoiding a virus -- unfortunately, there are people online who have found many other ways of getting what they want from you. Be careful everyone. We might be a cheating forum, but I'd like to think we've also got a community here too.

Many of us caught on quickly that something was off about Tim. It seems that the bottom-line for this thread is to enable users to seek help if they were potentially subjected to an unknown 'virus' on their computers. Linking to his Facebook, too, provides enough personal information to increase person security. I don't necessarily agree with potentially harassing Tim, but staying the Hell away -- for some people -- is advisable.

A persons personal logical thinking isn't going to stop other people from voicing their feelings. Things like this are shocking and worrisome, and when it happens in a community it is usually discussed beyond just the basic facts, because that's how a group is able to process the feelings and opinions of everyone within that group.
I think it's healthy to let out those feelings of anger and betrayal when someone has done something that is universally considered morally wrong. And it effects us all because a pedophile on clraik gives everyone here a bad image, and no longer makes it as safe of a place for the younger members.
Privacy shouldn't be a privilege for active sexual deviants, but that is just my opinion.

For the most part I see Infamous Joe and DarkByte looking out for and protecting the community - making a PSA because this is NOT a one time offense and generally providing options for people who may have been affected by this. This affects a LOT of people in a lot of ways. Not just people who've had their personal files stolen, but people who were taken in and friends with this guy, people who think they might be in a situation like this anywhere on the internet, people who might not know better and people who want to protect themselves on the internet. It's an important lesson for a lot of people to learn about online safety and it is so very important that this is known, especially in a situation like this where we're on a forum where a lot of people maintain a level of anonymity. A lot of people will have something to say about this, they'll want to share their stories or show shock, and this is just the place for them to be able to talk about it. Most discussion and conversation has been constructive and supportive of the community. Don't sit there and berate other people for wanting to discuss it when you are one of the few people who've made remarks that are nowhere close to constructive.

I completely appreciate this thread, I've never liked him and always been honest abut that but I certainly had no idea what went on until he targeted a good friend of mine. Imagine I had trusted him and let him help me out computer wise where I have pictures of my 2 year old son, many of which are playing in the bath etc. I'm not saying that's his thing but you can't be too careful. It always shock me at first when I come back and find out about users considered once 'trustworthy' here getting banned, but after some minutes I realise that this shouldn't be too shocking. I mean, of course, cheating between cheaters is the lowest you could go on my point of view, more when you let down the trust of people that has known you for months or yeats... but in the end this is a forum of cheaters and the people that can be fully trusted are a very low few... even so, I would say: don't trust anyone fully, never on the internet, NEVER... no matter who they are, no matter how long you've been talking with them. Never fully trust.

Much less on a place where most people could have knowledge about programs, virus and ways to get to your personal info... there're terrible people on this world that wouldn't mind to use months and hours of their lifes to get your trust... just to then put a knife on your back. And I've learn this the hard way sadly.

I might sound very hard and cold but that's why I decided to never get friends here. There have been people being nice with me, and I'm a very nice person to everyone I talk to as well.. but I've already seen too many people getting cheated on the worse ways (I don't mean about money or a trade that wasn't made, that is nothing, I'm talking about scamms on personal levels, as this case) and is not worth the try.

Absolutely disgusting. Girls should never have to feel unsafe simply for being female, but unfortunately because of people like this, we have to. This is why I can't ever walk down the street alone and instead have to have 5 other people with me at all times. I have to constantly watch my own back and sleep with one eye open in fear of being a victim of some atrocious act such as this.

He not only abused the trust of these girls, but also took away their rights as human beings. He is treating them as objects he cannot have, like shoplifting in a store. If he couldn't get pictures or information out of them by asking, he would hack their computers and take it by force.
I believe anyone who does that should have their rights taken away from them, full stop. If you don't treat people with the respect they deserve you sure as hell don't deserve any yourself. That's the whole point of going to prison. Criminals take away the rights of other humans so theirs get taken away from them. Outing someone for something like this is what NEEDS to happen. It is a necessary safety precaution. And it in NO WAY compares to the things he did, so stop pretending like it does.

I can only hope the victims of this are doing well and that they know this was not their fault. This should never happen to anyone. People like this need to be taken out of society forever. And I'm sorry for bringing this back up since I see this thread is quite old, but I could not simply sit back and say nothing. Please do not trust random people to assist you with getting programs to work or if they ask you to connect to your computer through TeamViewer (or any remote connection program). Trust only TRUSTED clraik members (staff, middlemen, programmers, top clraik users).

There has been an issue in the past where a certain pedophile scumfucker messaged random girls on here and assisted them into getting the programs to work. He not only got the programs to work, but placed a virus he bought which allowed snooping around on their computer even after finishing with TeamViewer. Reports have been made that this user stole pictures, told these girls he attempted explicit actions to them, found their Neopets accounts, broke into some, attempting to watch their webcams and listen to the mics while they did not know, and the list goes on.

I agree. Although you shouldn't be afraid to walk alone. If you are, learn to defend yourself; it's something I learned early on as a child for unfortunate reasons. Protect yourself because no one else will.. and weapons aren't necessary either if you have issues with that. However, an easy to reach pair of nail clippers can definitely help you out if needed. ;)
