3DS Talk to me about Pokemon?

We should talk about pokemon :'D

I like to battle semi competitively.
But im usually better than the casual player and not good enough for the competitive players D:

Its hard to find a good match about my level.

I have my Pokemon team all decked out (5/6IVs, EV trained, egg moves, etc), but I don't do them justice since I never really got into competitive battling :| Which Pokemon are your favorites? :$

I just play/catch Pokemon for fun and I've never gotten the IVs or competitive scene at all. :'D I'd love to learn though! I just wish there was almost a "simulation" type Pokemon game where I could basically live a life with my Pokemon and battling wasn't the main component. That's just me, though. I love the Pokemon games. :)

Also what teams are you guys using right now/what do you think of the meta right now and how it will change when ORAS comes out?

I have a ton of competitive pokemon for teams, the only problem is a lot of people like to play by smogon rules, and smogon is stupid so I hardly get to battle xD

And as far as what pokemon will change the meta, I'm really thinking Altaria will because it's dragon/fairy, a perfect counter to all other dragons.

Munna They need to come out with another Pokemon game like Hey You, Pikachu! that's more developed and links with your 3DS or something :okey:

SCf3 I only use my favorite Pokemon for teams, so I'm not very good against non-NPCs :P But right now I use Charizard (with Mega Y), Jolteon, Metagross, Gyarados, Dragalge, and Greninja. What about you guys? :P

Well I am going to work on my competitive teams whenever ORAS comes out so we should all register each other's friend codes soon, especially pillowpuff14 Tato Onceler and SCf3 since I think we are all kind of in the same boat :D Mega Metagross and Mega Altaria will probably become the most overused Pokemon in competetive; Metagross because of its ability/stat boosts and Altaria because of its typing. Mega Slowbro might be good for trolling teams though, so that deserves some attention.

I have a competitive team made, all IV bred and stuff, of Machamp Talonflame Meowstic Klefki Hydreigon and Gengar, but I think I am just going to hold off on that for now. Wait until the new games come out.

I've made a competitive team but I stopped in mid-training so I'm pretty much lost at which pokemon has how much EVs. :(

Although, I'm pretty excited for Omega and Alpha, since Emerald was my first game and I remember spending so many hours on that game it was ridiculous.
I just hope the Battle Frontier is brought back. ^_^

And the World Championship got me blown away especially that Pachirisu.

GOAT - I don't think Alteria will become super popular, even with the typing it's weak against a lot of things (Poison, Ice, Steel and Fairy) but it's pretty resistant to a lot of things. People will probably have mixed feelings about it and I'll use it no matter what because it's amazing xD I think Mega Slowbro is going to be used a ton and we'll be seeing a ton of trick room teams with it. Metagross will probably be super popular because it's metagross and it has a good ability.

Onceler I wouldn't be surprised if people use Mega Slowbro with the Amnesia, Toxic, Slack Off, and Psychic. That way it will have both of its defenses up, heal itself, deal damage, and protect against Torment. I might do that if I have some time on my hands, just to see how effective it is.

GOAT - Probably going to be one of the slandered sets along with a trick room bronzong or something if in doubles. I won't mind fighting it that much though I use a lot of bug pokemon xD

Can't forget Dark and Ghost now though, now that they go through Steel! Which really helps against those who use Metagross and Bronzong, I always hate those ones.

I breed competitively, but I could never for the life of me play that way haha. For some reason, no matter how strategic, I just can't use Pokemon I don't like. So I just get the ones I like, look up their Smogon spreads, then breed them with 5IVs/nature/ability, and EV train them with those movesets.

Even if I don't have a competitive team to actually use it's still fun, and it's a bit helpful for the Battle Maison.

Right now I'm trying to take on the X/Y Battle Maison using a team of M-Kangeskahn, Muliscale Dragonite, Speed Boost Blaziken and a Gardevoir. Trying to go for 100 Consecutive battles in an attempt to get the berry reward, then will go try the 200 Consecutive battles... but I can't even get past 22 battles yet T _ T

How far has everyone gotten in X/Y? I play it for a few days, stop playing for weeks, come back & restart because I forget where I was D: I really ought to sit down and play it. I prefer SoulSilver/HeartGold over X/Y too, so that may be my issue.... xD
