Do you think neopets staff cheats?

Do you think there are people working for neopets that generate items/neopoints discreetly and then sell on selling sites / forums? I feel like there's definitely some people out there.

Im sure they check them a lot if they are doing their jobs right

I doubt this happens. Even if they were able to generate NP and stuff, they would probably be monitored. Besides why would you risk your job :p

I don't think the staff cares too much about illegit items as long as it doesn't adversely affect the economy. Neopets is primarily an economy game, so even you could have anything you want in whatever amount you wanted (genned) and they wouldn't care as long as it doesn't enter circulation

Would need to create too many for it to actually be worth it. A few hundred million would only be a months pay check and that's not an easy amount to flog discreetly either.

If I worked for them, I wouldn't cheat. You could get fired.. I prefer to keep a clean reputation around here from now on. My dream is to work for neopets BEFORE my account gets purged, then unfreeze both my frozen accounts. Got frozen for apparently 'sharing accounts" when i clearly didnt urgh

This, I'm pretty sure TNT will still see suspicious activity even within staff. I'm sure they get paid more than they'd get from selling NP.

A lot of them have separate accounts that they use to play. They don't play on their official staff accounts.

On topic...

It would be pretty stupid of them to cheat if they work in the headquarters. However, Neo has work-from-home positions as monitors. I'm sure some of them cheat. I know I almost got a job as a monitor.
