I don't think this has been asked before. But which do you prefer? And why?

I would go with PC any day mainly because of mods for the games and you can just upgrade the pc instead of having to buy a new console every other year!

I agree, definitely PC. PC also has a wider selection of games available, and games are cheaper for PC as well. Good PCs are rather expensive though. ^^;

I figure in the long run they will be cheaper because you can just upgrade one part at a time insted of buying new consoles so often.

PC Master Race duh

I believe that PC's are just easier to use, they have a larger variety of games, and they have emulators for them if you want to play console games :P

For me it depends on the game, the controllers of consoles fit better with some games .. and yeah you can get controllers for the PC too, but they tend to not work as well. But, as seen with games where there are console ports or PC ports, some just plain play better on one over the other, due to either simplistic controls (which favor consoles) or a 5 billion hotkey required to be competitive keyboard heavy game where the PC shines.

Since I have both, it doesnt really matter which is 'better', Ill get what games I like

I played FPS on both, I use a PC controller for COD PC games I get called a Aim botter all the time cause I only Snipe, noobs just think anyone with skill on PC is a botter.

I also was a die hard hardcore COD player until ghost took a dump on my lap, still play BOPs2

I used to prefer consoles over pc. After traveling quite a bit, I switched over to PC games. The deals you can get for digital downloads for PC can be insane. Using a third party controller was also something I worried about before until I realize you can use an xbox controller on the PC as well.

Gotta go with PC. Steam is a playground of games, most of them absurdly cheap or become absurdly cheap during sales. Now that I've got a 3DS I'm warming up to consoles, and the PS2 will always have a special place in my heart, but I'm still predominantly a PC player.

I don't say PC because I didn't get to grow up with PC gaming that much (at least my systems couldn't handle it.)

IDK I just likes games. B)

I used to be die-hard for my console but I got Steam last year and really got into PC games, going so far as to replace some of my console games. Primarily the old school games that I have, so I don't have to dust off an old console in order to play. (San Andreas, Oblivion, etc)

I also like to modify games, naturally. ;)

I actually prefer playing games on my consoles, but overall I pick PC because it has two of my favorite things: Mods and screenshots.

And it's hard to beat the Steam sales.

PC, I liked playing MMO's such as tera because it was pretty. But I gave mine to my brother as a 'here, you are going to college. don't ruin this with porn' going away gift as it was a $2,500 gaming rig put together by a friend that I no longer had any use for as I gave up games for gym and work.

But I do play sims 4 on my laptop, cause girly.

PC - Tends to have more game breaking glitches; they are usually fixed fast, graphic are usually bad also.
Console - tends to have less game breaking glitches but if they do have them they hardly ever get fixed, graphics tend to be much better.

While both are good and bad, some games can only be played on consoles simply because of the advanced technology used. i.e. you cannot emulate ps3 on a pc

Console because I have a piece of crap PC. I did download Steam to play CS Global Offensive.

I deleted Steam about a month after and went back to console :biggrin-new:

I used to be a pretty hardcore PC gamer (MMO raider) but I've switched over to the console side. It just costs too much to play games with high performance on PC, a top-of-the-line GFX card is more expensive than a ps4 and that's just one part. No lag on a ps4 + I don't lose 25 hours/week grinding raid bosses that get me nowhere IRL :D

Though to be fair I do still have a computer that can run pretty much everything out there, so... what I like cake and pie D:

Used to be hardcore in to consoles, Sony specifically. But PC games are cheaper and more fun because you can add a treasure trove of mods. So I'm sticking to PCs now.

I really enjoy the console exclusives. It's also so much easier to play on consoles, no need to do anything. Just plug and play

I'm with the majority on this one, PC. I like the diversity of games (I just can't get half the games I like on consoles), the indie gaming scene is awesome, games are more affordable most of the time (from my experience, I mean Humble Bundles, Steam sales, soooo cheap) and the modding communities that come with a lot of games are brilliant, like there are some games that I wouldn't look twice at on a console that I play often on PC because there's no mods, some games I just refuse to touch unless I have some degree of mods in there (for instance Minecraft). Plus I like to pirate a game to try before I buy, I hate wasting money. Lastly, I never really like the controllers for consoles, especially ones that to me are clunky like xBox I just can't do things like I could on PC, granted I'm not a good gamer anyway but I'm worse with a controller.

Another plus is being able to build a pc from specific parts based on what you need it to run and being able to upgrade those in the future for longer lifespan.

Consoles! I might have loved Roach and Abomination, but I'll tear up some Time Crisis and COD

Console for sure.
Don't play that many PC games tbh.

Always went with consoles due to PC being too pricy because you have to keep updating your parts. Now that my ps3 died and you have to pay to play online on the next gen consoles... pc all the way :).
