What are your thoughts on this wrecking ball of an ex-Disney staple? I think she's just doing it for attention and wants people to talk about her, whether it be positive or negative. I don't think she really cares, as long as she's still in the "lime-light" so to speak.

For what I've read of people that knows her or has meet her, and what they say about her: even if she acts like that on videos and concerts, on the private and interviews, she's a very mature and nice woman. I totally think she is doing it because she knows how the business works. If she was just a normal singer, people wouldn't talk about her as they do. She's pretty smart with the musical style she choose, and for me, that's it: a musical style. Don't forget that other amazing artists like Lady Gaga and P!nk do crazy stuff, maybe even crazier, than things Miley have done.

I agree. I've never liked Lady Gaga (I don't know why, I just cannot stand her existence in the industry), and I think P!nk used to be a lot crazier, but has come to be a more respected artist on her talent alone. I don't have any problem with people expressing themselves, although I don't think this is how someone should attempt to get attention (although it's working). Just my opinion on the matter.


With that being said, Justin Bieber can crawl in a cave and die for all I care I'm really sick of hearing about him. Props to Kevin Love for smacking his punk ass. Also, Kanye West; you're a tool. Kill yourself.

I honestly think she is brilliant. Basically everything she is doing is for business. I mean look at how much attention she is getting, people actually look at her rather than being Hannah Montana. Yeah I wasn't trying to poke fun at Amanda Bynes' mental health issues, I know all too well about that. My father committed suicide back in 2010 so mental health isn't really a topic I like to joke about. It was more of a generalization of how far downhill someone can go without warning, not necessarily for a specific reason. Apologies!

From what I've seen of her, I think she's super self aware. She knows that what she's doing is going to get her attention. And even if you don't agree, she thinks that what she's doing is a form of art.

Seeing people across the internet be like, "Ew no, just be Hannah Montana", I can totally understand why she would choose to be as outrageous as she is. People want to pigeonhole her and are uncomfortable with her doing anything but pop songs about sleepovers and shit. I don't think it's fair to assume that someone should only allowed to do the same music that they "chose" to do when they were 12 or however old she was when she started.

Also, why does this surprise anyone? She's had controversy surrounding her from the get go. Does no one else remember people freaking the fuck out over her Vanity Fair cover or the selfies of her in underwear when she was 15? This isn't new behavior by a long shot.

When it comes down to it for me, if I had kids, I would rather them look up to someone like Miley Cyrus, who (in my opinion) knows what she's doing and is going to be true to her artistic self regardless of her critics than someone like Rhianna who gets the shit beat out of her and then gets back together with her attacker because they're "in love".
